Segment searching is an invaluable search tool that enables you to complete research tasks which may be impossible to complete otherwise. Segment searching is available on both Westlaw and Lexis but it is not yet available on Bloomberg. It allows you to restrict search results to materials that contain your search terms only within particular segments of the document (headnote, author, date, etc., etc.).
